Parent–School Partnership

“The partnership between parents and teachers at Carden is something that I truly value. It keeps me connected and confident in my child’s experience.”
Lorraine S., Current Parent
At Carden Hall, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to each child’s growth and success. Open, respectful communication ensures that students are supported both academically and personally, creating a consistent and nurturing environment in which they can thrive. We warmly welcome parents as active members of our community.
Parents may observe in their children’s classrooms each year to gain a deeper understanding of the Carden approach, and to enjoy, first-hand, the classroom experience.
Parents are also invited to join us as we gather every Monday and Friday for our assemblies, a treasured tradition that reflects our shared values and celebrates student growth. Each assembly begins with a prayer and the flag salute and is enriched by public speaking, music, poetry, and a message from one of our Directors.
Additionally, parent may initated a conference at any time, allowing for helpful dialogue and collaboration with the teacher and the Grade Level Director. Our teachers also provide regular, day-to-day updates on student progress, keeping our Grade Level Directors informed so that appropriate benchmarks and milestones can be continuously observed.
Our weekly newsletter, the Eagle Email, ensures that families stay informed, engaged, and connected to campus life. Together, through partnership and communication, we cultivate a supportive community where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish.
Coffee with the Director
Throughout the year, parents are invited to attend Coffee with the Director. These parent gatherings offer an opportunity to connect with other parents and to explore grade level and school-specific topics with the Executive Director, Mrs. Kalthoff.
Each session highlights a focused aspect of the Carden experience, offering insight into how and why we do what we do. Whether discussing the role of play in early learning, the role of technology, the development of independence, or the cultivation of character, parents gain a clearer understanding of the Carden Hall philosophy in action.
Coffee with the Director provides a space for thoughtful dialogue, shared understanding, and practical takeaways that strengthen the partnership between home and school as we work together to nurture confident, curious, and capable children.
