Faculty

At Carden Hall, our teachers are the heart of our school. They are known for their genuine care for each child, exceptional teaching ability, mastery of the Carden Method, and their commitment to inspiring a lifelong love of learning. By fostering curiosity, confidence, and character, they help every student reach his or her fullest potential.

Our faculty members hold degrees in a wide range of academic disciplines and represent nearly 1,000 years of combined teaching experience at Carden Hall. This remarkable depth of experience reflects the dedication, stability, and excellence that have defined our school for generations.

Every Carden Hall teacher completes comprehensive training in the Carden Method before entering the classroom. Our teacher-training program was originally developed by Mrs. Jane Jones, Founder of Carden Hall, who studied under Miss Mae Carden for fourteen years. Through this program, the educational philosophy and instructional excellence established by Miss Carden continue to flourish in every classroom.

Miss Mae Carden believed that great teaching begins with the character and knowledge of the teacher:

"You teach what you are.

You cannot teach what you do not know.

You cannot impart what you do not thoroughly understand."

Guided by this philosophy, our faculty embraces lifelong learning. Through ongoing professional development, collaboration, and continued study, our teachers deepen their knowledge and refine their craft. Their commitment to personal and professional growth ensures that every Carden Hall student receives an exceptional education in an environment where academic excellence, integrity, and a love of learning thrive.
